What ages does the preschool service?

Do you offer both full time and part time programs?
Yes, full time and part time programs are available.
What time is the morning preschool program?
The morning preschool program runs from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, Monday through Friday. An optional "Lunch Bunch" is offered from 11:30 am to noon.
What is unique about Little Scholars Preschool?
Little Scholars Preschool was originally owned by Hasbro and run as a Romper Room. As you enter the preschool, you will immediately notice the sunk in amphitheater with mechanical windows for plays and puppet shows. It is a unique space that we use for in-house field trips and group activities.
How do I register my child at Little Scholars Preschool?
Reach us by phone, email or the form located on the 'Contact Us' tab. We will promptly get back to you with our registration form and our pricing card. We will also be able to answer any further questions you may have.
What renovations have recently been completed?
Renovations in 2021 included: new flooring and ceilings in 3 classrooms, new LED lighting throughout the whole school, and new vinyl fencing in the back playground area. In 2022, we are working on updating our playground. We recently installed an irrigation system this summer. This irrigation system will be used to maintain our newly planted grass for our expansive playground area which the students use for learning and fun activities!
Does my child need to be potty trained?
Yes. Underwear must be worn and your child must be able to verbalize their need to use the bathroom. We do not have diaper changing stations.
Does my child need to be immunized?
Yes, the State of Rhode Island requires immunizations.
Do you provide lunch or a snack?
No, snacks and lunch must be brought from home. We are a 'nut-free' school due to student allergies.
Who is the director?
Michelle Lord is the director and has over 14 years of early childhood education experience.
Can I register and start my child at any time of year?
Yes, your child can start at Little Scholars Preschool at any point during the calendar year. You do not need to wait until September to register and start.
What is the cost to enroll?
Pricing depends on a variety of things such as how many days per week and how many hours per day. You can start your preschool experience with as little as two days per week or choose to do a full week. Please contact Little Scholars Preschool so we can tailor a program that suits your needs and schedule.
Do families live nearby that attend LSP?
Many of our families do live in the nearby towns of Rumford, East Providence, Seekonk, Pawtucket and Rehoboth, however, we also have many instances of parents who work nearby and enjoy the convenience of having Little Scholars close to their employer.
