Santa to visit Little Scholars Preschool December 6th

Santa will be visiting Little Scholars Preschool on December 6th from 1pm - 3 pm. This is a community event...all are welcome to take free pictures with Santa. Please bring a canned good to donate and please bring your camera to take lots of pictures!

An October Recap

Children began the month learning about Fire Prevention. They learned the importance of smoke detectors, what to do in case of a fire in their home and how to "Stop, Drop and Roll".
The following weeks catered to the theme "Living Things Grow and Change". Children measured and observed (with magnifying glasses) pumpkins, sunflower parts and corn. They put pumpkin seeds in a baggie with a damp towel and taped them to the window. They have watched the seeds grow and sprout!
The 3 year olds learned to paint with real corn by using the silk as a brush. They are learning the letters in their name by fishing for letters, using magnetic letters with their name card as a guide and picking letters out with alphabet puzzles. In the Mathematics Domain they learned the concepts of big/small, long/short, near/far and high/low.
Of course the month was ended with a dress up Halloween Party!
